Nürnberg blocks transfer of Mohamed Ali Zoma to West Ham United

Nürnberg sporting director Joti Chatzialexiou vetoed the potential transfer of Mohamed Ali Zoma to West Ham United less than two weeks before the summer deadline. West Ham United reportedly submitted an offer of up to €20 million for the 22-year-old forward, which surpassed a bid from Marseille. Although Zoma and his representatives intended to move to London, the German club chose to retain the player. Zoma initially showed signs of frustration on the pitch following the blocked move, leading to a dip in performance that head coach Miroslav Klose addressed through direct communication. Zoma, who recorded 11 goals and six assists last season, has maintained a productive start to the current campaign with four goals in three matches. The club now faces the task of managing the forward's focus as the season continues.
