The National Women’s Soccer League has appointed Meghan Frey as its senior director of pathways and development. In this role, Frey will be responsible for enhancing talent pipelines for players and coaching staff, collaborating with clubs and various stakeholders. She aims to improve pathways to the professional game, an initiative underscored by NWSL vice president Sarah Gregorius. Frey has extensive experience in player development and most recently served as sporting director for the Girls Academy League. Her first major task will involve overseeing this year's NWSL Combine, focused on young players aged 13 to 17, scheduled for December in Florida.
