Oak Ridge hosts community tailgate party before Friday football game

Oak Ridge Wildcat fans are invited to a pregame tailgate event scheduled for Friday, Sept. 4, at the Wildcat Tailgate Pavilion. Located at 100 Kentucky Ave., the event begins at 4:30 p.m. and continues until the start of the game. Organizers will serve hot dogs provided by the Secret City Butcher Shop to attendees prior to the team's matchup against Lenoir City. The football game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff at Blankenship Field. The tailgate is sponsored by Jim Normand and his firm, JMFN Law and Title Services, to support the local high school football program. The event coincides with the continued support of Oak Ridge High School athletics by local community members.
