Summary

Obed Vargas Jr. represented the Mexican national soccer team in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which concluded in mid-July. His family, including his father Obed Vargas Sr., attended all five of Mexico's matches, cherishing the experience of seeing their son play on such a prestigious stage. Mexico's run ended in the round of 16, but the emotional significance of the event for the Vargas family was profound, marking a milestone in the 20-year-old's career following his achievements with Seattle Sounders and Atletico Madrid earlier this year.
