Ocean Race Atlantic 2026 to launch dual events in New York

The Ocean Race Atlantic 2026 will commence two competitions on September 1 in New York. The events include a transatlantic sailing race to Lorient, France, and a sustainability challenge emphasizing environmental and social impact, with gender-balanced crews. Six offshore racing teams will compete based on 30 sustainability criteria, and awards will recognize efforts in carbon footprint reduction, individual contributions, and effective ocean science communications. An overall winner will be revealed at an awards night in Lorient in September, continuing the initiatives started during the Ocean Race Europe 2025.
