Odell Beckham Jr. assigned No. 9 jersey with Minnesota Vikings

Odell Beckham Jr. has officially joined the Minnesota Vikings and has been assigned jersey number 9. Beckham was signed to the team’s practice squad on October 7, 2026, following his release from the New York Giants. The number was previously worn by quarterback J.J. McCarthy, whose tenure with the Vikings was short-lived. Beckham aims to provide depth in the receiving corps behind Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and Jauan Jennings, though he hasn't been a significant contributor in recent seasons. His performance potential with the Vikings remains to be seen as he adapts to the team and strives for a larger role.
