Ohio Bobcats football prepares for major rebuilding in 2026

Summary

The Ohio Bobcats football program is set for significant changes in 2026 with John Hauser taking over as head coach following the firing of Brian Smith for off-field issues. Only five starters return, creating uncertainty, particularly at quarterback, where senior Nick Poulos and junior Matt Vezza compete for the role. While the offense faces inexperience, the defense brings back four starters, including strong contributors at linebacker.
