Ohio State gains commitment from four-star cornerback Deontay Malone

Ohio State secured the commitment of cornerback Deontay Malone on June 14, 2026, marking the 14th addition to their recruiting class. Malone, a four-star prospect from Massillon, Ohio, is ranked No. 33 among cornerbacks, previously holding offers from prominent programs such as Michigan State and Auburn. After taking official visits to Ohio State and East Lansing, he chose to remain in his home state and join the Buckeyes. Malone's high school performance included 25 tackles, three interceptions, and 34 receptions for 498 yards last season. Ohio State is actively pursuing two more cornerback recruits, Monsanna Torbert Jr. and Jaden Carey, with Carey set to announce his decision soon.
