Ohio State golfer Vaughn Harber qualifies for U.S. Open

Vaughn Harber, a sophomore golfer from Ohio State and a DeSales graduate, qualified for the U.S. Open scheduled for June 18-21. Harber secured his spot after a remarkable finish at the Lakes Golf and Country Club on June 8, where he played the last five holes at 5 under par. He finished the 36 holes tied at 9 under, leading to a playoff for three qualifying spots, which he won by birdying the first playoff hole. This will be Harber's first appearance in the U.S. Open.
