Ohio State stays at number one while Alabama drops in latest poll

Ohio State remains the top-ranked team in the US LBM Coaches Poll following a 56-3 win over Ball State on September 5. The Buckeyes received 50 first-place votes to maintain their position after the opening week of the season. Alabama moved to No. 12 in the rankings after securing a 48-10 victory against East Carolina. The Crimson Tide fell one spot from their preseason ranking and did not receive any first-place votes in the latest poll. Ten SEC programs, including Texas and Georgia, currently hold positions in the top 25. Ohio State prepares to travel to Austin for a matchup against Texas on September 12, while Alabama readies for an away game against Kentucky on the same day.
