Ohio State targets Gaige Weddle, son of Super Bowl champion Eric Weddle

Summary

Ohio State is pursuing Gaige Weddle, a four-star safety from Rancho Bernardo High School and son of Super Bowl winner Eric Weddle. The Buckeyes are competing primarily with Georgia for Weddle, who is considered one of the top defensive prospects in the country. Other programs including Oklahoma and Utah are also involved in his recruitment. The addition of ex-NFL coach Matt Patricia to the Buckeyes' defensive staff could enhance their appeal to Weddle. Currently, Weddle ranks first among safeties in California and nationally, which underscores his potential impact.
