Ohio State to induct Jim Tressel into stadium ring of honor in September

Ohio State will add former football coach Jim Tressel to its ring of honor at Ohio Stadium during the season opener against Ball State on September 5. Tressel, who coached the Buckeyes from 2001 to 2010, led the team to a BCS national championship in 2002 and holds a record of 106-22. He joins Paul Brown and Woody Hayes as the only coaches honored in this way. The induction is the first since the addition of Troy Smith in 2014. Tressel, who is now Ohio's lieutenant governor, expressed humility at the recognition.
