Oilers indicate no plans to extend Matt Savoie this offseason

The Edmonton Oilers will not hold extension talks with young winger Matt Savoie this offseason, according to his agent, Gerry Johansson. Although Savoie had a strong season, posting 18 goals and 37 points in 82 games, the team remains focused on immediate success after their first-round exit in the playoffs. General Manager Stan Bowman made moves to improve the roster, including acquiring goaltenders Devon Levi and Frederik Andersen, and trading Darnell Nurse's contract.
