Oisin McConville remains as Wicklow manager for 2027 season

Oisin McConville will continue as Wicklow senior football manager for the 2027 season. This decision follows the team’s Tailteann Cup campaign, where the county secured a 1-21 to 2-16 victory against Down at Croke Park. Wicklow overcame a 13-point deficit in that final to earn a place in the upcoming All-Ireland series. McConville, who took charge before the 2023 season, previously led the team to promotion from Division Four before experiencing relegation the following year. He now focuses on guiding the squad out of Division Four after two seasons of narrowly missing promotion. This role marks his first inter-county management position following his career with Armagh.
