OKC Thunder gear up for pivotal offseason decisions in 2026

The Oklahoma City Thunder are faced with important roster decisions heading into their offseason after coming up short in their quest for consecutive NBA championships. Key rotation players, including Lu Dort, Isaiah Hartenstein, and Cason Wallace, have uncertain futures as their contracts and performance are evaluated. Dort, a fan favorite, may be moved on from due to a decline in play, while Hartenstein's significant contributions during the playoffs suggest the team will work to retain him. Wallace has expressed a desire for a larger role, following a strong playoff showing. The Thunder's strategy this summer aims to enhance their roster around core players Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Chet Holmgren, and Jalen Williams.
