Oklahoma adds Danny Saili to roster pending eligibility ruling

Oklahoma added former Arkansas defensive lineman Danny Saili to the team roster this week ahead of the season opener. Head coach Brent Venables confirmed that Saili is participating in practice sessions with the program, though his status for game participation remains uncertain. Saili's eligibility is currently tied to a broader legal challenge involving the NCAA five-for-five framework for high school class-of-2022 graduates. While a Colorado court previously ruled in favor of additional eligibility for these players, a subsequent stay by the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals has placed the matter in legal limbo. Saili is currently enrolled and working with the team as a depth option for the defensive front. The Sooners host UTEP on Friday at 7 p.m. in Norman.
