Oklahoma City and USA Softball break ground on new indoor fieldhouse

Oklahoma City and USA Softball officials held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Choctaw Nation Fieldhouse at Devon Park on September 3. The 30,000-square-foot facility is designed to provide indoor practice infields, sports medicine areas, and player development spaces. Funded by a $21 million bond project, the building will feature a climate-controlled link to the main stadium. Construction is projected to span 18 months. Local officials intend for the site to eventually serve as an official United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee training hub. The development aims to cement Oklahoma City’s status as a host for the NCAA Women's College World Series through 2035 and support preparations for the upcoming Olympic Games.
