Oklahoma defeats Missouri 3-1 in SEC soccer opener

Oklahoma defeated Missouri 3-1 in the SEC opener for both teams Friday night at John Crain Field. Narissa Fults recorded two goals for the Sooners, while Kayla Keefer added a third before halftime to establish an early lead. Emily Derucki scored the lone goal for Missouri in the second half, assisted by Lana Adams. Missouri goalkeeper Riley Wilkerson stopped six shots, but the Tigers were unable to overcome the three-goal deficit despite a late penalty attempt by Rylie Morse that was saved by Oklahoma keeper Callie Sullivan. Oklahoma remains unbeaten at 6-0-2 on the season, while Missouri drops to 3-3-1. The Tigers return to Columbia to play Kentucky in their next match.
