Oklahoma hosts top 2028 recruit during season opening win against UTEP

Kamieon Compton-Nero, the top-rated athlete in the 2028 recruiting class from Oklahoma, attended the Oklahoma home opener at Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on Friday night. The four-star prospect from Owasso High School visited Norman as the Sooners secured a 51-0 win against the UTEP Miners. During the trip, Compton-Nero met with head coach Brent Venables, safeties coach Brandon Hall, and general manager Jim Nagy. The recruit, who is being pursued for a safety position, holds 20 Power Four offers and has made multiple visits to the university. Recruiting analysts currently predict the consensus top-100 prospect will eventually sign with the Sooners.
