Oklahoma prepares for Week 2 road matchup against Michigan

Summary

The Oklahoma Sooners travel to face the Michigan Wolverines in a Week 2 matchup. Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood, a true freshman who completed 60.3 percent of his passes last season, leads the Michigan offense. Oklahoma head coach Venables noted the challenge presented by Underwood, who displays dual-threat ability despite struggling against top-tier defenses in 2025. The Sooners defense enters the contest after facing mobile quarterbacks E.J. Colson and Raymond Moore III during their season opener against UTEP. Michigan is looking to bounce back following a difficult offensive showing in their Week 1 victory over Western Michigan. Oklahoma aims to rely on an assignment-sound defensive scheme to contain the Michigan backfield.
