Oklahoma Sooners miss on quarterback Trey Tagliaferri to Notre Dame

The Oklahoma Sooners' pursuit of a quarterback for the 2028 recruiting class has become more challenging after Trey Tagliaferri committed to Notre Dame. Tagliaferri, a four-star prospect from Colts Neck, New Jersey, chose Notre Dame over offers from Oklahoma and Penn State. His decision follows multiple visits to schools including Ole Miss and Alabama. Oklahoma is still actively seeking other quarterback options, with several targets like Graham Simpson and Brady Quinn attracting attention. The Sooners are expected to continue their search despite this setback.
