Ole Miss improved to 2-0 on the season with a 41-9 victory over Charlotte on September 12 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford. The Rebels offense accumulated 420 total yards and secured a 27-0 halftime lead after scoring on five of their first six possessions. Quarterback Trinidad Chambliss completed 23 of 26 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns, while running back Kewan Lacy extended his touchdown streak to 11 consecutive games.
