Oleksandr Usyk eyes fight with Deontay Wilder amid career decisions

Summary

Oleksandr Usyk, 39, has expressed interest in a potential fight against Deontay Wilder as he considers the future of his heavyweight career. Usyk, set to turn 40 in January, is weighing his options after clearing out the heavyweight division. Wilder, who also recently turned 40, aims to revive his status after a late-career resurgence, having secured back-to-back victories, including a recent win over Derek Chisora. Despite their mutual respect, negotiations for a fight earlier this year did not materialize, leading Usyk to pursue other opportunities. Wilder remains a compelling option for Usyk as he navigates his final career chapters.
