Oregon Ducks edge rusher Matayo Uiagalelei has drawn interest as a high-round prospect for the 2027 NFL Draft following his performance during the 2025 college football season. Fox Sports projected Uiagalelei as the 30th overall pick for the Seattle Seahawks in its most recent mock draft. The defender entered the current 2026 season with eight total tackles and one sack against the Boise State Broncos. During the 2025 campaign, he recorded 34 total tackles, six sacks, and four pass deflections. He continues to anchor a defensive front alongside teammate Teitum Tuioti, who contributed 9.5 sacks last year. The Ducks view this roster composition as a core element of their plan to contend for the National Championship this season.
