Nico O’Reilly and Rayan Cherki have been shortlisted for the PFA Young Player of the Year award. Both players had impressive seasons, with O’Reilly contributing 15 goals over 53 matches and winning the Etihad Player of the Year award. Cherki also made a mark, scoring 10 goals and providing 15 assists in his first season in England. They will compete against other candidates including Arsenal’s Max Dowman and Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo. The winner will be revealed on August 25 at the Manchester Opera House.
