Orioles designate Eduarniel Nunez for assignment, claimed by Cubs

The Baltimore Orioles designated pitcher Eduarniel Nunez for assignment on June 4 to make room on their 40-man roster for Kyle Nicolas. Nunez was claimed off waivers by the Chicago Cubs on June 8 and will start a second stint with the organization. The 27-year-old struggled with the Orioles, allowing nine runs in four innings at Triple-A Norfolk. In ten MLB appearances in 2025, he posted a 7.11 ERA, raising questions about his command.
