Orioles fall to Rays 3-1 despite late rally attempts

The Baltimore Orioles lost to the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 on August 23, 2026, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Despite managing only two hits throughout the game, the Orioles came close to tying it in the ninth inning. Colton Cowser hit a home run, bringing the tying runs to the plate, but Baltimore could not execute, ending their chances for a comeback. Rays starter Shane Baz initially limited hits before an unraveling sixth inning saw the Orioles give up three runs, largely due to a defensive mishap and a walk. The Orioles aim to regroup in their next matchup.
