Orlando Lovejoy is joining the Green Bay men's basketball program for the 2026-27 season. The former Detroit Mercy guard secured an additional year of eligibility through ongoing NCAA litigation and immediately reached out to head coach Doug Gottlieb regarding a roster spot. A vacancy became available for Lovejoy following the departure of Matthew Kloskey and injuries to Jaxon Edwards and Jalen Overway. Lovejoy, an All-Horizon League First Team selection in 2026, averaged 16.1 points per game over two seasons at Detroit Mercy. The Phoenix add the veteran guard to a roster coming off an 18-15 season and their first conference tournament win in six years. Justin Allen will not return to the Green Bay program as he pursues his professional career.
