Orlando Lovejoy transfers to Green Bay for his final season

Point guard Orlando Lovejoy has committed to Green Bay for his fifth and final season of college basketball eligibility. The former Detroit Mercy star entered the transfer portal after his previous school reached its scholarship roster limit and received a postseason ban for the 2026-27 season. Lovejoy earned first-team all-Horizon League honors last season, averaging 15.8 points and 3.7 assists per game. He played his first two seasons at Eastern Michigan before spending two years at Detroit Mercy. The veteran guard will now play for head coach Doug Gottlieb at Green Bay. Green Bay is scheduled to face Detroit Mercy on January 3.
