Orlando Magic drop in power rankings ahead of new NBA season

Summary

The Orlando Magic have fallen in the latest NBA power rankings, moving from 15th to 16th after a quiet offseason. Despite returning veteran center Nikola Vučević and hiring new head coach Sean Sweeney, analysts are skeptical about the Magic's championship aspirations. Orlando aims to develop its core players, including Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Jalen Suggs, after being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs three times. The team hopes the addition of Vučević and recent draft pick Izaiyah Nelson can help bolster their chances, though doubts remain regarding their ability to advance in the postseason.
