Orlando Magic hire Sean Sweeney as new head coach

Sean Sweeney has been appointed as the head coach of the Orlando Magic, following his tenure as an assistant coach with the Brooklyn Nets and an associate head coach for the San Antonio Spurs. His hiring comes after the Magic did not retain Jamahl Mosley, who was let go after three consecutive first-round playoff exits. Sweeney, who has an extensive coaching background including positions with the Milwaukee Bucks, Detroit Pistons, and Dallas Mavericks, will lead the team into the new era featuring players like Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner. He replaces Mosley, who is set to join the New Orleans Pelicans.
