Orlando Magic sign guard JD Davison to an Exhibit 10 contract

The Orlando Magic signed free agent guard JD Davison to an Exhibit 10 contract on September 3, 2026. Davison, a former Boston Celtics draft pick and member of the 2024 championship roster, joins the team following stints with the Celtics and Houston Rockets. The guard spent the majority of his recent professional career in the G League, where he was named the 2024-25 season MVP while recording averages of 25.1 points and 7.4 assists per game. Under the terms of an Exhibit 10 deal, Davison may be waived before the regular season begins to join the Osceola Magic, the organization's G League affiliate. Such a move would make the player eligible for a $91,000 bonus. Malaki Branham was also signed by the team alongside Davison.
