Otters start Egorov in net for season opener against Guelph

David Egorov, recently acquired from Brantford, will start in goal for the Erie Otters as they open the 2026-27 OHL season against Guelph on Friday night. After spending four seasons largely in a reserve capacity with the Bulldogs, Egorov is looking to establish himself in a new role. The 2022 OHL draft pick recorded a 44-16-7 record along with a 3.04 goals-against average and a.901 save percentage in his prior career. The Otters are looking to make a strong start this season with Egorov’s added experience.
