OU softball secures commitment from top 2028 pitcher Sophia Schlader

Sophia Schlader, the top-ranked pitcher in the 2028 recruiting class, has committed to Oklahoma softball. The announcement was made by Oklahoma coach Patty Gasso via social media, featuring messages from former OU players. Schlader, who is also recognized as the best two-way player in her class, chose OU over Texas after visiting both schools. She is the second commitment for the Sooners' 2028 class, joining Braylyn Saenz, ranked 41st overall. Schlader expressed excitement about continuing her academic and athletic career at Oklahoma.
