Oxford Cricket Club must vacate ground by September end

Oxford Cricket Club has been instructed by the landowner, Oxford University Press, to leave its current ground by the end of September. The club has been at the Oxford University Press Sports Association Ground since 2016. Lack of viability for continued maintenance was cited as the reason for the closure. In addition to the cricket club, the OUP Bowls Club and tennis users will also be affected. Core facilities will remain open until the site’s closure, after which the future of the property is uncertain.
