Oxford United secured the signing of Aston Villa winger Luka Lynch on a loan deal running until January. The 19-year-old moves to the club after progressing through the Aston Villa academy, which he joined at age 14. During his time in the Villa youth system, Lynch contributed to the U18s Premier League title and an FA Youth Cup victory. He also recorded 11 appearances and four goals for the club's under-21 squad during the previous season. Oxford head coach Aaron Ramsey stated the player will join the first team immediately to develop his skills in one-on-one situations. The club expects Lynch to provide additional options in the final third through the first half of the season.
