Packers assess Aaron Banks and Zach Bako-Bewele before Vikings season opener

The Green Bay Packers are monitoring the health of starting left guard Aaron Banks and right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele as they prepare for their Sunday matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Coach Matt LaFleur confirmed that Banks remains the preferred starter at left guard if he is healthy enough to play. Banks has been limited during training camp due to a knee injury that traces back to previous seasons. In his absence, rookie Jager Burton has seen significant work with the first-team offense. Meanwhile, Zach Bako-Bewele is also scheduled for limited practice participation on Wednesday as he continues recovery from patellar tendon surgery performed last December. The team must determine if both linemen are cleared to manage a full workload in the season opener.
