Packers CB Keisean Nixon competes for starting position this preseason

Keisean Nixon, entering his eighth year with the Packers, aims to secure a starting cornerback role after making the Pro Bowl last season as a cornerback and previously as a return specialist. In a recent statement, he emphasized focusing on his performance, saying, "I can only control what I can control." Coach Matt LaFleur highlighted that competition will focus on assignments and tackling capability. As of now, Nixon is listed as the starter on the Packers' unofficial preseason depth chart, and he played 19 snaps in the preseason opener against Pittsburgh. He is in the final year of a three-year, $18 million contract.
