Packers make four roster moves ahead of training camp kickoff

The Green Bay Packers announced four roster moves on July 28, as they prepare for training camp. The team released kicker Lucas Havrisik and edge rusher Dante Barnett while signing tight end Thomas Yassmin and kicker Lenny Krieg. The addition of Krieg introduces competition for rookie Trey Smack at kicker, while Yassmin alleviates depth concerns at tight end due to injuries to Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave. Barnett, previously on the International Player Pathway exemption, will be replaced by Yassmin, who spent time on the practice squad of the Chargers. Krieg, a former international exemption player with the Falcons, is from Germany.
