Packers place Savion Williams and Collin Oliver on injured reserve

The Green Bay Packers placed wide receiver Savion Williams and edge rusher Collin Oliver on injured reserve to start the 2026 season. Both players will miss at least the first four games after sustaining injuries during a preseason win against the Denver Broncos. Williams suffered an ankle injury while Oliver sustained a calf injury, leading to their exclusion from the active 53-man roster. The team will be without both players for upcoming games against the Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Micah Parsons, Luke Musgrave, and Jordon Riley were also placed on the PUP list and will miss the same duration of the regular season. The team maintained six wide receivers and four edge rushers on the initial roster following these designations.
