Packers practice report: two missing, Van Ness returns

The Green Bay Packers' Sept. 17 practice featured absences from two active roster players. Defensive tackle Warren Brinson was sidelined due to a calf injury that has kept him out since the second preseason game. Defensive tackle Javon Hargrave entered the concussion protocol after feeling residual effects from Week 1 and did not participate. In contrast, defensive end Lukas Van Ness returned to practice, participating in drills after also going into the concussion protocol. Packers left guard Aaron Banks practiced again as he recovers from knee tendinitis. Right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele and linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper also showed progress as both took part in practice sessions after injuries.
