Packers sign quarterback Kedon Slovis to the practice squad

The Green Bay Packers signed quarterback Kedon Slovis to their practice squad on September 1. Slovis, 25, enters the organization as the No. 3 option behind starter Jordan Love and backup Tyrod Taylor. The move follows the team’s decision to trade Kyle McCord to the Miami Dolphins during final roster cutdowns. Slovis most recently played for the Arizona Cardinals, where he appeared in a preseason game against Green Bay on August 28. In that appearance, he completed 21 of 35 passes for 223 yards and a touchdown despite throwing two interceptions. The Packers hold the option to elevate Slovis to the active gameday roster a maximum of three times during the season.
