Packers waive Lucas Havrisik after signing kicker Lenny Krieg

Summary

The Green Bay Packers are releasing Lucas Havrisik after signing kicker Lenny Krieg ahead of training camp. The decision prevents a three-kicker competition, with Krieg set to compete primarily against sixth-round pick Trey Smack for the kicking job in 2026. Havrisik was brought on last season as an injury replacement and successfully made all four field goal attempts, including a franchise-record 61-yarder, but did miss two extra points during one game. The Packers could utilize Krieg as their international exemption player, allowing him to join the practice squad if necessary.
