Padres aim for series sweep after 7-2 win against Marlins

The San Diego Padres secured a 7-2 victory over the Miami Marlins on July 25, 2026. Ty France led the Padres with three RBIs, while JP Sears pitched 3.1 scoreless innings for his third win of the season. The Padres took the early lead with France's two-run single in the third inning and maintained control throughout the game. The Marlins, now on an 11-game losing streak, scored two runs, one from a sacrifice fly by Otto Lopez and another from Kyle Stowers' RBI single. The Padres will send Walker Buehler to the mound this morning as they look to complete the sweep against the Marlins, who will counter with Janson Junk.
