Pakistan sends seven players home during ongoing England Test series

The Pakistan Cricket Board sent seven players and two coaching staff members home midway through their Test series in England following two heavy defeats. Players Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, Salman Ali Agha, Ali Usman, Khurram Shahzad, Aamir Jamal, and Muhammad Awais Zafar were released from the touring party. Additionally, head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul were removed from their positions. Mike Hesson and Ashley Noffke have been brought in to oversee the team for the third Test at Edgbaston. Former coach Mickey Arthur criticized the board for its lack of stability and frequent personnel changes, while commentator Harsha Bhogle noted the logistics of finding replacements before the next match. The team currently trails in the series after losing the first Test by an innings and 103 runs and the second by 194 runs.
