Palace City 14U baseball team wins two games in state tournament

BaseballPalace City’s 14-and-under baseball team recorded two wins on July 25 at the Class A state tournament in Pierre, South Dakota. After starting with an 11-0 loss to Harrisburg, the team secured victories against Rapid City Post 320 (10-6) and Watertown (7-1), finishing pool play with a 2-1 record. These results advanced Palace City into bracket play on July 26, where they earned the No. 4 seed and will face No. 5 Tea at 10:30 a.m. If victorious, they will play top-seeded Harrisburg later in the day. The team performed strongly in both victories, including a complete-game pitching effort from Keniel Padilla against Watertown.
