Jonathan Simmons, head coach of the Palisades Pumas, has officially resigned five games into the season while currently suspended. Simmons, who began coaching at Palisades in 2022, was placed on suspension just hours before the season opener for undisclosed reasons. Prior to his resignation, Simmons had achieved a coaching record of 21-24, with the team currently holding a 4-1 record this season. Defensive Coordinator Darrel Wilson will serve as interim head coach while the Pumas prepare to host Ardrey Kell on October 2.
