Palmeiras supporters demand dismissal of coach Abel Ferreira

Summary

Protests against Abel Ferreira have intensified among Palmeiras supporters, with Mancha Verde calling for his dismissal early on August 11. The discontent follows a goalless draw against Internacional in the Brazilian Championship, prompting the supporters' group to issue a statement emphasizing that “patience is over.” Despite the unrest, Palmeiras remains at the top of Série A and has advanced in both the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores. The relationship between Ferreira and the supporters has been strained previously, with similar demands made in May.
