Palmetto Ridge secured a 28-14 victory over Bonita Springs on Monday, August 31, 2026. The matchup, originally scheduled for Friday, was postponed due to storms. Despite trailing 14-7 at halftime after committing three first-half fumbles, the Bears scored 21 unanswered points to finish the contest. Nicholas Dibenedetto recorded approximately 145 total yards and ignited the comeback with an 85-yard kickoff return to open the second half. The win marks the first victory for Palmetto Ridge since October 2024 and serves as the first head coaching win for Jordan Hampton. Bonita Springs coach Tony Mattalo noted that his team struggled to finish scoring drives and surrendered two defensive touchdowns during the loss.
