Carolina Panthers' edge rusher Jaelan Phillips has been identified as one of the NFL's most overpaid players by analyst Moe Moton. Phillips signed a four-year, $120 million contract, marking the richest free-agent deal this offseason. Concerns have arisen regarding his injury history, having missed 22 games over the last two seasons. Although he achieved a career-high of 73 pressures in 2025, he has yet to record double-digit sacks or tackles for loss in any season. With a salary of $36.2 million this year, Phillips' pay surpasses that of several established Pro Bowl players.
